You are provided with access to this website in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and any orders placed by you must be placed strictly in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. This website, located at www.jandmelectricalltd.co.uk is operated by J&M Electrical Supplies LTD. References to J&M Electrical Supplies LTD and ‘we’, ‘us’ and ‘our’ shall be deemed to be references to J&M Electrical Supplies LTD. References to ‘you’, and ‘your’ shall be deemed to be references to persons placing an order from the www.jandmelectricalltd.co.uk


When you place an order with J&M Electrical Supplies LTD it will be deemed that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions. If you are unhappy with any part of these Terms and Conditions, you should contact us prior to placing your order. By placing an order through our website you are making an offer to J&M Electrical Supplies LTD to purchase the goods outlined in your order upon the terms described in your order. When you place an order, we will require your name, email address, credit/debit card or PayPal, telephone and address details. This information is required in order to process your request or inform you of acceptance of your order. A contact telephone number is needed so that we can get in touch if there is a problem with your order. We may, unless you inform us otherwise, provide our delivery couriers with your contact telephone number in case they need to reach you. Please take care when adding these vital details. You must notify us immediately of any changes to your personal information. You can order by web order, telephone, email or post.

After placing an order online, we will send you email confirmation that your payment has been received but this is not confirmation that your offer to buy the goods has been accepted. If you do not receive a confirmation email from us it maybe that your email has an error within it.

Our contract for the sale of our products will only exist once an order has been processed and despatched to you. J&M Electrical Supplies LTD reserves the right to reject any offer of purchase by you at any point. Please note that we may not be able to meet our obligations as a result of the following reasons:

If we are unable to deliver due to exceptional conditions that are beyond our control such as poor weather, accidents, road or airport closures or strikes etc.

The goods you ordered are out of stock. This occasionally happens even when they appear in stock if several orders are placed simultaneously.

A product is recalled by a manufacturer for whatever reason.

A product description or pricing detail is incorrect. This does not affect your statutory rights.

We are unable to process your payment for whatever reason or the payment is reversed.

All other Terms and Conditions are not met. 

You will receive a further email letting you know that your goods have been despatched. Should there be an issue with your order, we will always attempt to contact you by telephone or email. Please ensure that you check all items on receipt and inform us immediately of any problems.

Please note that whilst we will make every effort and reasonable care to keep your order details and payment secure, we cannot be responsible for any loss you may suffer if a third party obtains unauthorised access to any information that you supply when accessing or ordering from J&M Electrical Supplies LTD.

Every product bought is sold subject to its product description. We undertake all reasonable care to ensure that all the details, sizes, prices, colours and descriptions of products are accurate and up to date. Sometimes photographs are not a true representation of actual colour. If you feel a product does not match its description, please contact us immediately. All published prices include VAT at the current UK rate. We reserve the right to alter prices and products if necessary.

Legislation prohibits the sale of certain products to persons under certain ages. Knives and other bladed items for sale on this site cannot be sold to persons under the age of 18 under the Offensive Weapons Act 1996. Such products are flagged as such and if you are purchasing such items by agreeing to these terms you are deemed to also certify you are of legal age to buy such products.


Contract Cancellation

 If you are not happy with products you have chosen and/or received, you are entitled to cancel this contract if you so wish under the Distance Selling Regulations, provided you exercise the cancellation within the period of 7 working days, beginning with the day following the day on which the goods were delivered, (excluding personalised items or made to order items). The Company supplies all goods with the following returns policy for buyers:

A buyer who cancels an order or who receives an order and wishes to return the goods, should inform the Company in writing that they wish to cancel the order within seven days of the date the order was placed with the Company, or seven days of receipt of the goods (whichever is the longer). The Company shall refund the buyers full invoice amount within 28 days of receiving the goods, subject to inspection and them being returned ‘as new’ in a re-saleable condition. The buyer will be liable for any damage to the goods, however caused, and the Company shall withhold the amount it deems necessary from the buyers refunded amount.

Goods Faulty on Arrival – If you are reporting faulty goods within 3 days of receipt (please note that for business customers, this is 3 days), and when the goods are returned to us complete, we will issue a full refund to you via your original payment method.

Goods Damaged in Transit – If the goods are damaged in transit, the Company request that the customer report it to the Company within 24 hours from receipt of goods. If goods are visibly damaged on receipt, the customer should sign the delivery note accordingly. Once the damaged goods have been collected and received back into the Companies warehouse, the Company will issue a full refund to the customer via their original payment method.

Goods Faulty in Warranty Period – If the customer is reporting faulty goods after 28 days of receipt, then provided the product is within its warranty period, the customer is entitled to a warranty repair or replacement. In some cases, manufacturers provide warranty support and repair services and/or telephone help facilities for the customer’s convenience. This does not affect the customer’s rights to claim against the Company under the Sales of Goods Act (as amended) if the goods do not conform to the contract and the manufacturer does not repair or replace the goods or offer the customer an alternative remedy.

Change Your Mind – If the customer changes their mind and is a consumer (not applicable to business customers), and the goods have not been in their possession for over 28 days, then the customer is entitled to return the goods to the Company for a full refund on condition that the customer take reasonable care of the goods until they are returned to the Company. In particular, this means that you will: – not open shrink-wrapped or blister pack products or break any manufacturer’s seals. – return in good condition including all packaging, manuals, cables etc. – return the goods in a condition that would enable the Company to resell them as new – Please note that if the customer changes their mind the cost of returning goods is the responsibility of the customer.

If the customer changes their mind and are a business customer the Company does not accept the return of goods.

All returned goods are fully checked prior to credit, this can take upto 3 days upon receiving the returned items.



We accept payment via PayPal. (This includes all Debit/Credit Cards accepted by PayPal as well as PayPal Balance).

We accept Cash on Collection from our retail store or warehouse.

All prices are shown in £ Sterling and are exclusive of UK VAT at the current rates and are correct at the time of entering the information on to the system. The total cost of the order is the price of the items ordered plus the delivery charge.


Credit Card Validation

All credit/debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of a buyers payment card refuses to, or does not for any reason, authorise payment then the buyer will be notified of this at the checkout stage.

In assessing a buyer’s eligibility, we may use the information provided for the purposes of the prevention and detection of fraud. We use the PayPal secure online payment gateway service that has achieved the highest level of compliance under the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI). PayPal adheres to the most stringent levels of fraud screening, ensuring that your details remain secure throughout the transaction process.


Promotions and Discount Code Offers (“Discounts”)

Buyers who use a valid promotional code we have issued should note: the following terms and conditions apply:

  • Discounts based on price will only be available on order values over the amount stated in the offer.
  • Discounts are only valid until the date published.
  • Discounts are only redeemable for purchases made on this website (www.jandmelectricalltd.co.uk)
  • Only one discount may be used per customer per transaction.
  • Where ‘RRP’ is stated, this is the suggested retail price recommenced by the product manufacturer.
  • Where ‘Our Price’ is stated, this is the purchase price in comparison to the Reccomended Retail Price. ‘Our Price’ is the final item price which will be charged at the checkout, this figure includes VAT at the current rate (20%), this price excludes potential additional postage costs or import duties and taxes if dispatched from a country outside the EU.
  • We reserve the right to end any discounts at any time including prior to the advertised end date without notice.

J&M Electrical Supplies LTD does not look to exclude or limit liability for personal injury or death arising from its negligence or that of its employees, agents, members or directors or for any misrepresentation that is fraudulent.
J&M Electrical Supplies LTD makes all reasonable efforts to ensure a reliable service but cannot guarantee that the use of this website will be free from interruption, errors or omissions and cannot be held responsible for any disruption, loss of or corruption of any material in transit, or loss of or corruption of material or data when downloaded onto other computer systems.
